Das Modell OSLO der MILLWA-Kollektion wurde wie viele andere Modelle im Hochland Perus handgestrickt. Hierfür arbeiten die Frauen, die vorwiegend in den ländlichen Regionen wohnen von zu Hause aus und können mit dieser Arbeit einen erheblichen Beitrag zum Familieneinkommen leisten.

Alpakafaser zählt zu den edelsten und feinsten Fasern, die es auf der Welt gibt, ähnlich wie Kaschmir. Sie hält ganz besonders warm, ist aussergewöhnlich weich und leicht. Zudem kann Alpakafaser, aufgrund des natürlichen Fehlens von Lanolin in der Faser, auch von Wollallergikern getragen werden.

This alpaca hat OSLO from the MILLWA collection, as well as many more, was handknitted in the highlands of the Peruvian Andes. The women knitting live mainly in the rural parts of Peru and contribute a lot with this knitting to the family income.

Alpca fibre counts to be one of the finest and rarest fibres in the world, similar as cashmere. It keeps incredibly warm, is very soft and light. Additionally alpaca fibre can be worn also by wool allergic people because by nature it does not contain lanoline.
